Penn State Nittany Lions coach James Franklin turned a press conference question into a recruiting pitch for one of the nation's top tight ends.

On the field, Franklin could have buried that controversy simply by winning. And, as has become all too common under Franklin at PSU, the Nittany Lions were simply outclassed when, once again, they faced a big-game situation against a highly ranked team.
