A third person has died, this one a 36-year-old woman, after a man with a history of mental health issues allegedly went on an unprovoked stabbing spree in Manhattan a day ago, felling people just going about their morning routines.

Police on Tuesday identified the man behind the series of attacks Monday morning across Manhattan that left 3 people dead as 51-year-old Ramon Rivera.

Three unprovoked stabbings across Manhattan Monday morning left two men dead and one woman “fighting for her life,” according to the New York City Police Department. A man is in custody, police said.
