Bangladesh Chief Adviser and Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus has announced plans to seek the extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India after the ouster of her Awami League government in August this year.

Muhammad Yunus said that not only the deaths in the uprising but all other violations of human rights, including alleged enforced disappearances while Hasina was in power, would be investigated.

Bangladesh interim govt head Muhammad Yunus addressed the nation on the completion of 100 days of his administration. He said that the govt is also investigating incidents of violence against minorities.
