Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-yi) has further weakened as it exited the Luzon landmass and traversed near the coast of La Union and Pangasinan on Sunday night, according to the state weather bureau.

Typhoon Pepito (international name: Man-yi) lashed the Philippines’ most populous island on Sunday, with the national weather service warning of flooding, landslides and huge waves as the storm sweeps across the archipelago nation.

Typhoon Pepito will continue to stir heavy rains in parts of Luzon as it moves away from the country on Monday, PAGASA said.
